Deborah Anice "Debbie" Hoyer, age 60, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born July 12, 1956 in Corona, California to Floyd Allen and Margaret "Peggy" Ann Todd Carter.
Debbie grew up in Riverside, California. As a young married woman, she started her family in Overton, Nevada. She was a hard working mother who loved to sew, lay tile, create jewelry and decorate her home. She loved to sing while she worked and was loved by her children. She lived in Barstow, California and Twenty-Nine Palms California, but Overton was her home.
Survivors include three sons and three daughters: Leah Beynon of Henderson, NV; Mandy (Eric Neilson) of Logandale, NV; Chris Stevens of Scenic, AZ; Casey (Sarah) Stevens of La Mirada, CA; Coriann Stevens of Overton, NV; Elijah (Celestial) Stevens of Ft. Wayne, IN; 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her mother, Peggy Carter of Overton, NV; two brothers and one sister: Pat Carter of Overton, NV; Jeff (Robin) Carter of Henderson, NV and Stephanie (Ed) Schmachtenberger of Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Gavin and one great grandson, Alexander.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior at the mortuary. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery in Overton, NV.
