David Rymer Riley
June 20, 1949 — April 28, 2016
David Rymer Riley, age 66, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his home in Overton, NV. He was born June 20, 1949 in Somerville, Massachusetts to Manassah Edward and Ora Blan Russell Riley. On September 29, 1967 he married Kristine Ann Fogle in Reseda, CA. They had two sons, adopted a daughter, and later divorced. He then married Joyce Elaine Kunkel in Seward, AK June 22, 2007. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2012.
David spent most of his life in the San Fernando Valley, CA. He worked as an Auto Mechanic, but his real passion was cooking. He retired in Bishop, CA briefly before going to cooking school in Alaska. He worked as a cook on oil platforms and in hunting lodges. He enjoyed camping, and fishing. Baseball and the Dodgers were a love he was able to share with his sons.
He is survived by his three children: Matthew (Micheline) of Bonners Ferry, ID; Bryan (Tamara) of Lancaster, CA; Angelique Wagner of Hamilton, MT; three step-children: Alicia (John) Kassik of Whidbey Island, WA; Amber (Chris) Uhls of Nikiski, AK; Adam (Kerry) Kunkel of Nikiski, AK and one brother: Mark (Karen) of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and William.
