David Glenn "Rocky" Humes

David Glenn "Rocky" Humes, age 55, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Overton, Nevada. He was born July 4, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Robert Glenn and Eva Johnson Humes.
Rocky grew up in Overton, Nevada where he excelled in football, basketball and track at Moapa Valley High School. From 1974 - '99 he lived in American Fork, Utah where he operated a successful construction framing business. He took great pride in his work, especially in teaching and training young men in the trade. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan, as a great story teller and for his tender spirit and love for his extended family.
Survivors include his step mother, Vyonne Humes of St. George, UT; three brothers and one sister: Gilbert (Susan) Wood of Boulder City, NV; Jenny Kyle of Illinois; Bruce (Margaret) Humes of Seal Beach, CA; Dennis (Judy) Humes of Logandale, NV and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Paula Deen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Overton LDS Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
