Mesquite

David Brice Gilbert II, age 76, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 in St. George, Utah.  He was born November 13, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to David Brice and Doris Minette Sippel Gilbert.  On December 5, 1970 he married Natalie Mae Jensen in Lakewood, Colorado.
David grew up in Baltimore until moving to Old Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 12 with his family.  He loved the new adventures that he found in Colorado, especially skiing and being in the mountains. He met Natalie while skiing, which led to a lifetime of enjoying the snow with each other and with their two daughters.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Western States University at Gunnison.  He was the proud owner of the Pretzel Kaffee Haus, running the restaurant for over 17 years.  He later worked as a slot attendant at various Colorado casinos.  He moved to Mesquite in 2016.  He enjoyed photography, golfing and jeeping.  His greatest joy came from supporting his daughters and wife in all of their activities.
Survivors include his sweetheart, Natalie; two daughters: Heather (Joe) Quarantillo of Dillon, CO; Mindy (Mike) Rogers of Georgetown, CO; four grandchildren; James and Jordan Rogers, Joss and Bridger Quarantillo, and one brother, Bob (Terry) of Augusta, ME.
Memorial services have been postponed for now.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
