Charles David "Dave" Bullock, age 70, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born October 16, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to Harry Charles and Medea Irene Smith Bullock. On February 20, 1960, he married Paralee Anne "Perry" Kelley in Coeur d'lene, Idaho.
Dave grew up in Denver. He served in the US Air Force at the end of the Korean Conflict. He raised his family in Rifle, Colorado working as a police officer, specializing in juvenile crimes. He later worked as a correctional officer, always believing that he could make a difference in the lives of the young men he was responsible for. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and woodworking. He loved the Broncos and the Rockies. He will be remembered as a generous man who was always willing to help his neighbor.
Survivors include his wife, Perry of Overton, NV; two sons and two daughters: Renee (Dickie) Gross of Overton, NV; Dave (Christi) of Silt, CO; Kim (J.D.) Frantz of Silt, CO; Gregory (Maria) of Rifle, CO; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Howard (Geri) of Eau Claire, WI; Marie Myrick of Elizabeth, CO and Mary Joyce Myrick of Aurora, CO. He was preceded in death by both parents, one nephew, Jym Myrick and one grandson, Mikie Gross.
A memorial service will be held in Dave's honor on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary.
