Danny Lee Barker

Danny Lee Barker, age 68, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born September 30, 1953 in Long Beach, California to James Kenneth and Mary Frances McCall Barker. Danny grew up in Torrance, California. While attending high school, he met the love of his life and on January 29, 1972 he married Elizabeth Catherine McDowell (Cathy) in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a father of three daughters and raised his family in Corona, California. As part of his family, he always had his special four-legged Chow by his side. Danny worked as an owner/operator for Barker Equipment Rental (BER). Danny’s second love in life was bowling which allowed him to travel to various destinations to compete. His family was his biggest fan! Through hard work and dedication, he obtained seven (7) perfect 300 games during league play, earning him a spot in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Favorite hobbies included: listening and performing Hard Rock Music with his drums, going to drag races, racing RC trucks, and boating in Lake Havasu. During his retirement years, he enjoyed shooting and ATV trail riding with his friends and family. Early this year, Danny celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary in Maui Hawaii with his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; three daughters: Sherri Perez of Ontario, CA; Angela (Steve) Zucker of Wildomar, CA; Alison (Joseph) Chua of Riverside, CA; three grandsons, Preston, Derek, and Jake.

The family will be having a private memorial service. In honor of Danny, the family will be holding a celebration of life service early Fall. More information will be shared once the date is confirmed. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
