Daniel James Rhodes, age 63, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in St. George, Utah. He was born December 11, 1957 in Highland Park, Michigan to John Wesley and Lois Catherine Powell Rhodes. On January 16, 1982 he married the love of his life, Deborah Sue Tesch in Litchfield, Michigan.
God blessed Dan with an incredible singing voice and the gift of sharing the gospel. He was able to sing professionally with The Prodigals in Oklahoma for one year. He graduated from Midwestern Bible College in Pontiac, MI in 1995. He pastored several churches in his career - Algonac Baptist Church in Algonac, MI; Calvary Baptist Church in Brutus, MI and most recently Christian Community Church in Mesquite, Nevada for the last six years. He loved music and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah; daughter, Elissa (Brandon) Reynolds of Golden Valley, AZ; J. Wesley II (Alisha) of Mesquite, NV; five grandchildren; his father, John W. Rhodes of Utica, MI; two brothers and one sister: David (Barbara) of Utica, MI; Joy Lynn Britton of Kannapolis, NC and Brian (Kim) of Utica, MI.
Memorial services are planned but private due to Covid 19 restrictions. Friends and extended family are invited to watch the services at: You Tube Channel, Mesquite Nevada Living Waters Fellowship on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m..
