Daniel Joseph Halacy Jr

Daniel Joseph Halacy Jr., age 77, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Rumford Point, Maine to Daniel Joseph Halacy Sr. and Evelyn Holman Halacy. While serving in the US Air Force at Forbes Air Force Base in Kansas he married Doreen Zeek on November 30, 1956.
On March 12, 1962, he went to work for the Pillsbury Company Atchison, Kansas. In 1973 he transferred to Ogden, Utah, where he became Superintendent of the Pillsbury Mill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen, in 1991; one sister and two brothers. He retired from the mill in July 1992. On October 9, 1993, he married Bernice Hampton, and relocated to Logandale, Nevada in 2002.
Daniel is survived by his wife Bernice, three sons and one daughter; Daniel Joseph (Angie) Halacy III, Michael Ray (Michele) Halacy, Patricia (Kevin) Burton, John (Hollie) Halacy; three stepdaughters and one stepson; Teri Leishman, Judy (Jeff) Pearce, Jennifer (Joe) Skiver, and Gaylen (Cindy) Leishman; 32 grand children; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters; Joan (Widd) Colby of Rumford, Maine and Mary Bottomly, Sherril Ford both of North Carolina.
Private family services will be held at a later time.
