Dale Scott McMillan, 58, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born December 7, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT to Dale John and Helen Darlene Fisher McMillan. On June 22, 1978 he married Ada Melissa Lawhon in Salt Lake City, UT.
Scott grew up in the Salt Lake Valley. In 1999, he moved with is wife and children to Overton, NV as he became the regional sales representative for Western Power Sports. Some of his hobbies were riding motorcycles, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed going on road trips as well as sharing his love for the Denver Broncos with his family. Scott also had a love for every dog he owned. He had a very quick wit, and always had great advice. Scott's wife and his two girls were his entire life. He was also very close to all of his extended family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Melissa of Overton, NV; two daughters: Sage (Tyson) Linnell of Tooele, UT; Kallie of Overton, NV; two grandsons, Keian and Kayce; his father, Dale (Janet) of Draper, UT; one brother and one sister: Michael (Marcie) of San Diego, CA; Wendy (Rick) Kearns of West Valley City, UT; his mother-in-law, Jackie Curt of Caldwell, ID; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Dee (Red) Gainer of West Jordan, UT; Woody (Paula) Lawhon of Anchorage, AK; Danell (Jay) Parsons of West Jordan, UT; Randy (Judy) Curt of Burns, OR; Robin Bryant of Nampa, ID; John Stowe of Salt Lake City, UT, and numerous other loved step siblings, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary Chapel, 5090 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, Nevada. Visitation will be from 4:30 - 6 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Internment services will follow in Salt Lake City, Utah at a later date.
