Dale Armese Gilbert, age 84, died September 13, 2009 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born on July 12, 1925 to Farrel and Alta Shaw Simonsen in Sterling, Idaho. Armese graduated from high school in Leadore, ID. She became a Registered Nurse in 1952 from the LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. She spent her life with her family and worked as a nurse. Her retirement was spent with her husband, DeVon, traveling over seas and touring the United States in their RV. They retired in Mesquite, NV.
She is survived by her husband DeVon Gilbert, of Mesquite, NV, children Melvin Talbot of Westminster, CA, Sherrie Baris of Saint Louis, MO, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a sister Devon Bielby of Salmon, ID. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Verla Peterson, and Bonnie Whittaker, all of Salmon, ID.
A grave side service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Mesquite Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the grave side service from 8:00 to 10:00 am at Virgin Valley Mortuary.
