Curtis B. Waite

December 13, 1924 — March 8, 2010

Curtis Bud Waite, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Logandale, Nevada, on Monday, March 8, 2010. He was born December 13, 1924 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Marvin Herbert and Glenna Sylvia (Leavitt) Waite. On March 31, 1950 he married his sweetheart, Beth Renee Wendelboe in the Saint George LDS Temple.

Curtis was a man who served and worked his entire life. His heart was centered primarily upon his family, his church service and his work. He was raised in Logandale, Nevada and served in the Navy during World War II. He served in various occupations over the years. He worked as a dairyman, farmer, master gardener, businessman, heavy equipment salesman and owner of rental units and properties. His church service was given selflessly throughout his life. He and his wife served a mission together on the Moapa Indian Reservation. He will be remembered as a kind, soft-spoken, wise father and servant of God.

Survivors include his wife, Beth, three sons and one daughter: Steven (Robyn) of Las Vegas, NV; RaNae of Logandale, NV; Leslie (Russell) Talbot of St. George, UT; Troy of Cedar City, UT, daughter in law, Paula of Las Vegas, NV, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother; Twila (Charles) Pulsipher, Darrell (Arlene) all of Logandale, NV, Karen (Dennis) Bauer of Cedar City, UT, Velma (Burnell) Hunt of Spanish Fork, UT, and one sister in law Gwen of Logandale, NV. He was preceded in death by one son, Garry and two brothers, Vern and Ronnie.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary and again on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
