Cornelio Baeza Dominguez, 86, passed away September 10, 2011 at his home in Bunkerville, Nevada. He was born in Siqoteas, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan and Paula Dominguez Baeza on September 16, 1925.
Cornelio grew up in Mexico on a ranch where he learned how to work very hard. He was good with animals and was said to have a green thumb in the garden.He married Francisca Galindo on June 14, 1947. They moved around as they raised their family living in Overton, NV, Blythe, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, and moved to Bunkerville, NV in 1972. He liked to go to the casino and play the slot machines. He loved to care for his grandchildren who loved him and will greatly miss him. He was one of the best deer hunters and deer trackers in Mexico.
Cornelio is survived by his six children Raymundo (Lina) Baeza of Mexico, Candelario (Delia) Baeza of Bunkerville, NV, Mariana (Juan) Mora of Bunkerville, NV, Humberto (Suzette) Baeza of Beaver Dam, AZ, Jesus (Anita) Baeza of Bunkerville, NV, Armando (Doris) Baeza of Mesquite, NV: Siblings Juaquin, Braylia, Inez, and Manuela, 23 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Francisca, siblings Trine, Ramon, Fernando and a granddaughter Maria Dejesus.
Funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at the La Virgen De Gaudalupe Catholic Church in Mesquite. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 6 to 7:45pm with a Rosary to begin 7:45pm. Interment will be at the Bunkerville Cemetery following the Mass.
