Clyde J Martin

Clyde J. Martin, 82, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born May 12, 1933 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Alma Miller and Clyde Martin.

He was raised in Poteau, OK and eventually moved to Arbuckle, CA. He was then drafted to the military in 1952, where he served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He then married Bonita A. Horn Martin on February 14, 1970 in Ft. Richie, MD. They moved to Las Vegas, NV and resided there until 1998 when they moved to Mesquite, NV.

Clyde was a happy go lucky guy who liked to tell a story, a silly joke or just shoot the breeze. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed smoking a good cigar, gardening and playing penny machines. But most of all he loved being grandpa to his one and only grandchild A.J.

He is survived by his daughter Samantha Martin of Mesquite, NV; grandson Ashton Martin of Mesquite, NV; stepdaughter Stacey Bennett of Las Vegas, NV; stepson Wendell Bennett of Bakersfield, CA; sister Doris Barnes of Claremont, CA; brother James Martin of Yuba City, CA and brother Raymond Martin of Yorba Linda, CA. He is preceded in death by his wife Bonita Martin, stepdaughter Marilyn Bennett and stepson John Bennett.

No services will be held. Family will have a "Celebration of Life" ceremony upon placement of Bonnie and Clyde at their final resting place at Davis Memorial Park.
