Cliff was born July 13, 1937 in Dolphin, Virginia, to Morton and Lelia Goldsberry. He entered the United States Air Force in 1955 and retired as a Technical Sergeant in 1975. While in the Air Force, he was a Crew Chief leading a crew of mechanics in servicing aircraft in Vietnam, England, Germany, Turkey and several other countries.
After the Air Force, he worked for Nevada Power for close to thirty years as a Control Operator, retiring in 2006.
He was previously married to Malinda Goldsberry for 27 years. He and Malinda had six children. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He married Kathy Goldsberry in 1986. They were married for 37 years, ending only due to his death. With that marriage came two step-daughters, five step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed working on cars, puttering in the yard, and delighted in watching his many species of birds that would wait eagerly for him to feed them. He was always ready and willing to travel to Las Vegas to help his family in any way that was needed.
He will be greatly missed. The world has lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and gentleman.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
