Claro Romero Quiroz, age 70, died Monday, July 18, 2022 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born March 3, 1952 in Mexico to Jesus Romero Cano and Teodosa Quiroz Quintano. On March 26, 1972 he married Maria Cristina Fabela in Mexico. They had six children and were later divorced. On November 19, 2007 he married Mireya Amaro Bringas in Mexico. They had one son together.
Claro was raised in Mexico. He came to the United States in the early 70's gaining employment with the Joy Peterson Ranch in Tule Springs, Nevada. He helped to develop the Palms Golf Course then went to work for Eagle Mountain Ranch in Gunlock, Utah until he retired. He loved working on the ranch. He enjoyed the cowboy life and farming. He developed a nice side business of picking and selling pine nuts from 2004 - 2018 along with Larry Shurtliff and Joe Smith.
Survivors include his wife Mireya of Mexico; five sons and two daughters: Heriberto (Mariana) Romero of Littlefield, AZ; Luciano (Amelia) Romero of Vera Cruz, Mexico; Hortencia (Carlos) Diaz of Littlefield, AZ; Deborah (Jose) Moreno of Mesquite, NV; Ramiro (Rosy) Romero of Littlefield, AZ; Juan Carlos of MX; 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. He was raised with six brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by one son, Luis Carlos.
