Christopher Alan Murray

Christopher Alan Murray, 58, passed away on January 6, 2025 in St. George, UT. Chris was born on October 21, 1966 in Ridgecrest, CA to William Mathewson Murray II and Barbara Jean McKinney Murray. Chris was born into a family of pilots and had the desire to fly from a young age. He started riding motorcycles at five years old and flew his first solo flight at the age of 16, the day he got his driver’s license. He loved snowmobiling and snowboarding. He worked for a time in the timber industry running heavy equipment and after moving to Overton, NV in the early 1990’s, he worked as a heavy equipment operator in heavy demolition. He loved being on the water, and lived on his boat while he wasn’t at work. He loved water sports and being at Lake Mead with his 34’ Sea Ray. He spent much of his time at the Overton, NV Airport working on his planes and flying. He was a very caring person and loyal to his family.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean VanArsdale and his aunt and uncle, Linda and Denny Nave. He is preceded in death by his father, William Murray II.
