Charles H. Gierut

Charles Gierut, age 84, died March 21, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Charles was born January 15, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Susan Korlawski Gierut. Charles and his lovely wife Dolores M. Jacubs were married in Chicago, IL on June 22, 1986. Charles grew up in Chicago, IL where he attended a Catholic High School. He was a plumber working in construction. In 1991 they left IL to move to Las Vegas and then later settled in Mesquite, NV. He was an avid golfer and passionate about building model ships. Charles' most found "hobby" was taking care of his wonderful wife. He was well loved by everyone. Charles is survived by his wife and three children, Stephen Alan (Paula) Karwoski of St Petersburg, FL, Ronald J. (Caroline) Karwoski of Boynton Beach, FL and Sharon M. Hundley of Joliet, IL; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Gierut and sister, RoseMary Niemiec of IL and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Stanley Gierut. A public viewing will be held at the Virgin Valley Mortuary on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 between 5:00-7:00 pm and again Wednesday, March 28, 2012 between 11:00-11:45 am . A funeral mass will be held in his honor at La Virgin De Guadalupe Catholic Church Mesquite, NV on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 12:00 pm.
