Carol Ann Jacobson-Johnson

January 21, 1945 — April 21, 2013

Carol Ann Jacobson-Johnson, 68, passed away Sunday, April 21st at her home in Beaver Dam, AZ after a valiant fight against cancer. Carol was born January 21st 1945 in Gary Indiana to Alfred Bonner and Margaret Welches. She married Nels A. Jacobson in 1965 in East Gary Indiana after graduating high school. She then moved from her childhood home to the Las Vegas valley in 1967.

After moving to Bunkerville in 1980, she tirelessly served her community. She was active as a Bunkerville volunteer firefighter and EMT, and later served several years on the Bunkerville town advisory board. She worked at the Virgin Valley Medical Clinic and Valley Bank of Nevada, then later as a Clark County School System bus driver where she is fondly remembered by students spanning 18 years of service. Following her divorce in 2000, she entered a new chapter of life. She did some traveling, met new people and established new relationships. In 2002 she realized her dream of becoming a real estate agent. Part of this chapter led her to meet and ultimately marry "Bob" Robert Johnson of Tooele, UT in 2004 and ultimately settled in Beaver Dam, AZ. Bob, through thick and thin, lovingly cared for her through these most difficult times of her life.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband Robert Johnson, of Beaver Dam, AZ; her two sons Andy (Dee) Jacobson of Woodland Hills, UT and Kristofor E. Jacobson of Las Vegas, NV; step sons Travis Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; Deven (Randi) Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; Darren Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT, along with 8 grandchildren and 10great grandchildren; Sisters Patricia (Terry) Dykuis of Valparaiso, Indiana and Mary (Lowell) Bennett of Chesterton, Indiana and Brother Alfred "Butch" (Mary) Bonner of Chesterton, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred and mother, Margaret.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Barbara and Terri of Virgin Valley Home Care and Hospice for the loving care and service that they provided in support of Carols illness.

There will be a viewing from 6-8 pm on Friday, April 26th and from 9-10:15 am Saturday, April 27th at the LDS Stake Center in Mesquite, Nevada.
