Carl Douglas Yardley, age 76, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born April 4, 1939 in Panguitch, Utah to John Alfred and Annie Lareeta Stoney Yardley. On November 12, 1960 he married Elizabeth Adams in Cedar City, Utah. They had two children and were later divorced. On September 4, 1984 he married Bonnie Striblen in Wendover, Utah. They had one daughter and were later divorced.
Carl lived most of his early life in Panguitch and Hatch, Utah where he was a member of an All State Basketball Team. He enjoyed team roping and working as a rodeo announcer. He started his young family in Panguitch, Utah where he enjoyed farming and ranching. They later moved to Richfield, Utah where he worked for LA Young Construction, and then to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was employed by Las Vegas Paving as a construction foreman. He came to love traveling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son, Doug (Lanell) of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters: Stephanie (Darrin) Stewart of Henderson, NV; Brenda (Ken) Armstrong of Durango, CO; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one sister, Donna Peterson of Panguitch, UT.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. (MST) in the Panguitch City Cemetery, Panguitch, Utah. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book.
