Carl "Combat" Hovietz

Carl Reid "Combat" Hovietz, age 35, died Thursday, December 30, 2009 in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He was born March 24, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Carl Reid and Diana Idalia Ibanez Hovietz.
Combat lived most of his life in North Las Vegas. He was a very funny person that liked to tease his friends and family. He was always the life of the party or any family get together. He loved watching NASCAR and the Redskins football team. He will be remembered for his desire to take care of his mother.
Survivors include his daughter, Saroya Rain Hovietz of ID; his mother, Diana Hovietz of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers and one sister all of Las Vegas, NV: Nicole (Kevin); Paul (Kathleen); Frankie, Jaime and Elwyn. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steven and his father, Carl.
A Traditional Indian Sing will be held in his honor on Friday, January 8, 2010 starting at 5 p.m. at the Moapa Tribal Building. Interment will follow Saturday morning at 6 a.m. at the Moapa Indian Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
