Caritina Romero, 79, passed away on January 15, 2021 at her home in Mesquite, NV. She was born February 14, 1941 in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Caritina grew up in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. She enjoyed crocheting when she was younger. As time went on, she loved to be with her children and grandchildren and cook, cook, cook! She also loved her pet birds. Caritina came to Mesquite in 1971 and worked in the casino in the Laundromat.
She is survived by her children; Teresa Romero, Juan Romero, Rudy Romero, Manuel Romero (Michelle), Maribel White (Tyler Black), Armando Romero, Fernando “Bird” Romero (Charlotte), twenty nine grandchildren and many great grand children all of Mesquite; and sister Juanita Vasquez Rodriguez. Preceded in death by her husband; Ramiro Romero, two children; Jose Viera, Alfredo Romero and brother; Carmen Vasquez Rodriguez.
There will be a visitation on Monday, January 25th from 10:00 - 11:45 AM at Virgin Valley Mortuary. Graveside will be held at the Mesquite City Cemetery on Hillside at 12:00 (Noon). Friends and family are invited to leave a message in their Guest Book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
