Calvin Selley
August 25, 1923 — May 26, 2014
Calvin L. Selley, age 90, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home in Logandale, Nevada. He was born August 25, 1923 to William John and Elsie Ethel Leishman Selley in Wellsville, Utah. On June 10, 1942 he married Ruth Lorraine Lake in Bountiful, Utah.
Calvin grew up in Wellsville. He entered the US Navy, serving in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, he raised his family in Davis County, Utah, working at Hill AFB as a civilian sheet metal fabricator and foreman. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, golfing and time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Lorraine; one son and three daughters: Karen (Michael) Stone of Logandale, NV; Courtney of Newport, OR; Diane Haslam and Janet (Frank) Thomas both of Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; two sisters: Arlee Tegan of Twin Falls, ID and Betty Anderson of Logan, UT. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Private family services are to be held at a later time.
