C. Stuart Kale

C. Stuart Kale passed away at his home in Mesquite, Nevada on November 16, 2008 at the age of 69. He was born April 26, 1939 in Bellingham, WA to Elvin and Dorothy (Elder) Kale. He was baptized and confirmed at the Everson Presbyterian Church, Everson, WA. Stuart earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Everson Troop 4027. He graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1957 and in 1961 completed his undergraduate studies in business administration at the University of Washington with a MBA following in 1965. He became a member of Theta Delta Chi at the University.

Stuart married Barbara Lewis on June 17, 1961 and was later divorced. He began working at The Boeing Company following college. This began of a successful career in the aerospace industry. He joined the Western Gear Company in 1968 at Everett, WA and moved to Jamestown, ND in 1972 to lead the development of a successful aerospace manufacturing business. Stuart was proud of his accomplishments at the Western Gear where he became a leader of business and industry in Jamestown and the State of North Dakota. In addition to his contributions to the aerospace industry, Stuart served on the Boards of the ND State Economic Commission, Jamestown Hospital, and Norwest Bank and was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown.

In 1985 Stuart joined Pratt and Whitney and relocated to Huntsville, AL to serve at the General Manager of their aerospace manufacturing business. Stuart married Roberta Zierke Christensen on October 17, 1987 in Huntsville, AL. In 1989, they moved to Salt Lake City, UT where Stuart became Vice President and General Manager of Flameco Barnes. He retired in 1995. While in Utah, he served as an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City and numerous other church affiliated duties. The Kale's moved to Mesquite in 2006 and found their ideal retirement home on the golf course.

Retirement was a good time in Stuart's life. He reacquainted with his cousins, high school classmates and old friends. He enjoyed golfing, traveling with Bobbie and family members, and managing the distribution of information to his extensive email distribution network.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, three sons Mark (Maya), Richard, James (Lori), daughter Robin and grandchildren Nicole Kale, Matthew Kale, Amber Kale, Ava Kale and Max Fadeyev, Aunt Bernice Reeves, in-laws Robert and Betty Zierke and Frances Shearin, Nicole and Matthew's mother Judy Kramer, brothers-in-law Bennett (Wendy) and Bruce (Mary Pat) Zierke, twelve nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Dorothy and Elvin Kale and grandson Austin Kale.

Stuart will be buried next to his parents and generations of Kale and Elder family members at the Nooksack Valley Cemetery, Nooksack, WA. The interment will at a later date not yet determined.
