Bryan Alan Starnes, age 27, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born March 18, 1985 in West Valley City, Utah to James Patrick and Pauline Birch Starnes. Bryan grew up in Overton, Nevada. He graduated from Moapa Valley High School in 2004. He served an LDS Mission in the New York New York South Mission. He then entered the US Army where he served in Afghanistan. Bryan always had a love for the outdoors, hiking, climbing, hunting, fishing, caving and riding four wheelers. He has lived in Minnesota and Alaska for the last five years. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Jim and Pauline of Overton, NV; grandfather, William (Joan) Starnes of Allentown, PA; grandmother, Vyonne Humes of St. George, UT; four brothers: Michael of Ft. Campbell, KY; Justin (Alissa) of Cedar City, UT; Eric of Overton, NV and Aaron (Barbara) of Logandale, NV. He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Mona Hogan and one grandfather, Robert Humes. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Overton LDS 3rd Ward Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
