Bruce Hutson Porter

Bruce Hutson Porter passed away quietly at home Saturday November 1st in Mesquite Nevada. Bruce was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 1937. He graduated from the University of Utah in June of 1960. Bruce has been preceeded in death by his parents, Robert Baird Porter Jr. and Phyllis Virginia Prater Porter. Bruce is survived by his wife of 17 years Sharon Porter. His children, Alissa Lynn Porter, Margot Porter Zen, Cameron Baird Porter, Sherry L.Steed, Michelle Lemon, and his grandchildren Justin Porter, Keira Porter, Michael Steed, Alice Steed, JulieAnn Steed, Amy Steed, Tristan Lemon, Britanny Lemon, Kristen Lemon, and Jacob Micheletti,and his dog Jesse James. He taught us how to love the woods and the mountains and how to live life in the here and now. We love you, you will be missed by all of us. A wake to celebrate his life will be held at 4 pm Saturday November 8th, at his home at 279 Palmer Lane Mesquite Nevada
