January 22, 1971 — February 8, 2016

Brent Verl May, age 45, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. Brent has struggled with his health for many years, he has endured a kidney transplant, lupus and has beaten cancer three times. He was born January 22, 1971 in St. George, UT to Jay Allen and Elma Jean Alldredge May. On December 12, 1992 he married Amy Lynn LaNasa in the Las Vegas Temple.

Brent spent most of his life in Moapa Valley. He served a mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in British Columbia, Canada. He went to SUU in Cedar City where he earned his Bachelor's degree, and he earned Masters Degrees from both Touro and Grand Canyon Universities. He enjoyed football and wrestling, and made a large impact on youth as a beloved teacher and coach. He enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Amy; one son, and one daughter: Garrett Alan and Addison Nicole; his mother Jeanie who is serving a mission in Nauvoo; two brothers, and four sisters: Todd (Anna) of Fallbrook, CA; Tony (Tina) of Las Vegas, NV; Jennifer (Dave) Parke of W. Valley City; Michelle (Jared) Higgs of Kanosh, UT; Melissa (Chad) Gray, and Juliann (Cody) Wilson both of Cedar City, UT and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Jay.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Logandale Stake Center at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Chapel. There will also be a visitation Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Moapa Valley Mortuary from 6 -8 p.m. Interment will follow the Funeral Services at the Pioneer Hill Cemetery.
