Bonnie Durben
Bonnie Mae Durben, age 73, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at her home in Moapa, Nevada. She was born April 22, 1941 in Racine, Wisconsin to Kenneth Franklin and Bernice Bie Peterson Blodgett. Bonnie was their only child. On December 4, 1973 she married Harry James Durben in Bisbee, Arizona. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2011.
Bonnie was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She lived in Arizona, and later in Jeffrey City, Wyoming. She and Harry moved to Las Vegas in 1988 where she worked as an activity director at a nursing home and later as a change girl at the local grocery store. In 2005 she moved Moapa. She enjoyed volunteer service with the fire department and later with the VFW Women's Auxiliary. While she enjoyed gardening, knitting and other activities, she really loved time with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Corinna (Ronald) Leachman of Moapa, NV; two stepsons and one stepdaughter: Robert, Deborah (Tim) both of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Kevin (Joyce) of Hickory, NC; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1 pm at the Moapa Fire Station. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
