Billie Van De Vanter

Billie Kay Van De Vanter, age 68, died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born July 6, 1953 in Fillmore, Utah to George Evan and Vada Williams Van De Vanter .  On April 29, 1996 he married Sheila Marie Maxfield in Fillmore, Utah.

Billie lived most of his life in Delta, Utah.  As a youth, he excelled at wrestling and grew a love for adventures in the outdoors.  He enjoyed barefoot water skiing, camping, hunting and fishing.  Later he enjoyed exploring mines looking for gold tailings.  He worked a few different jobs, but enjoyed working as a contractor.  His greatest joy was found in activities with his wife and children.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila of Mesquite, NV; two sons and two daughters: Shad (Dena); Carrie (Brian) Faulkner; Brian (Tana) all of Las Vegas, NV; Amanda Aubrey of AZ; four step sons: Jeremy Westenskow of SLC, UT; Travis (Tiffany) of Midvale, UT; Michael of Delta, UT; Kasey of Oak City, UT; seventeen grandchildren; sister, Betty (Charles) Lambert of Santaquin, UT and brother, Michael (Jan) of Delta, UT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Delta LDS Chapel, Delta, Utah.  Visitation will be one hour prior at the chapel.  Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Crescent Cemetery, 11105 S.
