William (Bill) Milan Potts, age 84, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born June 14, 1924 in Lewellynn, Nebraska to Henry and Haley Potts. Elizabeth (Jo) Josephine Hodge, age 71, died February 4, 1997 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born March 4, 1925 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to John and Sara Hodge. On February 16, 1946 Bill and Jo were married in Castle Rock, Colorado. William was a longtime resident of Green River, Wyoming before moving to Nevada 20 years ago. He was a trainman for the Union Pacific Railroad, a deputy of the Sweetwater County Sheriff's office, and a game warden for the Wyoming Fish and Game Department. Jo was a nurse, a judge for the juvenile court system, active in the PTA and worked for the local television station in Green River. They enjoyed their summer home at Gilbert Creek in the Uinta Mountains in southwest Wyoming. They settled in Mesquite in 1988. Survivors include their two sons, Johnn William (Diane) Potts of Ogden, UT and Kevin Joseph (Becky) Potts of Draper, UT; four grandchildren: Jacqueline, Karmen, Kyle and Russell; three great granddaughters and two great grandsons. Bill is survived by a brother, Melvin (Doris) Potts of Manhattan, KS.
