William Joseph "Bill" Anderson, age 68, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born April 16, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. He was adopted by Joseph Ross and Vivian Eslyne Olson Anderson on May 1, 1956. On May 26, 1973, he married Troya Kathleen Pollard. They had two sons and were later divorced. On February 2, 2007, he married Donna Marie Bubonovich in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bill grew up in Gand Junction, Colorado. He proudly served his country in the jungles of Vietnam as a Marine. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked construction in Colorado. He moved to Moapa Valley to oversee the construction of the Isola Ranch before starting a career as a "Trash Kop" for Silver State Services/ Republic Services.
Bill lived his life with hard work, integrity, and loyalty. While in Vietnam, his fellow Marines trusted his instincts and perseverance. His sons appreciated the hours of coaching, teaching, and love that he devoted to them. He commanded a room, not by being loud or obnoxious, but with his charisma and sense of humor. He loved to hunt, hike and be in the outdoors. He loved his family more than anything in life.
Survivors include his wife Donna of Las Vegas, NV; two sons: Nate (Vicki) of Las Vegas, NV; Ryan (Michele) of Logandale, NV; six grandchildren; four sisters: Louise Norgard of Denver, CO; Mary Jane (Ron) Shiyou of Columbia, MS; Dot Lantis of Bosque, NM and Kay Martinez of Ozone, AR. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Richard and one sister, Patsy.
