Bette Ellen Spezze, age 95, began the sunrise of her life June 1, 1926 born to William and Anna Church Jones in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Bette’s sunset was at her home in Mesquite, Nevada, Friday, July 23, 2021 in the arms of her husband.
Bette grew up in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and was the oldest of three girls. She was also the mother of three sons: Lanny, Ron and David and was also married three times. The first was a war-time marriage that did not last, followed by a second marriage that ended after moving to California. The third time’s a charm though, so on January 5, 1973 she married in Las Vegas, Nevada to Thomas Spezze, her lover until the end.
Bette loved to travel and enjoyed seeing many different areas of the world and also gathering together with friends and family. She has lived for the last thirty years in Mesquite and she enjoyed going to the local restaurants to eat and play Keno.
Cherishing her memory are her husband, Tommy of Mesquite, NV; two sons, Joseph (Maria) Zack of Northridge, CA; Ronald Dines of Van Buren Township, MI; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Billie Smith-Spezze and Bobbi Dull,as well as her son David Zack, and they welcome her home.
