Belva Talbot, age 93, passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born August 17, 1929 in Snowville, Utah to Sheldon Bealy and Claudia Helenia Peterson Cutler. On August 21, 1946 she married Joseph Harvey Talbot in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2000.
Belva grew up in Snowville and attended Box Elder High School. At the age of 17, she was crowned as the Box Elder County Rodeo Queen. She raised her family in St. George, Utah from ‘52-64 and Las Vegas from ‘64 - ‘81. They moved to Overton, then to Caliente for a short time before returning to Overton in 1987 where they managed the Fun N Sun Mobile Home Park. She continued to manage the park after Harvey’s passing, where she maintained the grounds and built strong relationships with the residents and snowbirds. She was eternally grateful to the Lewis brothers for the opportunity. Belva was a loving mother and wife. She loved to work hard and enjoyed working beside her husband in his various business ventures. She enjoyed working in the garden and was especially proud of her beautiful roses. She loved making ceramic dolls and gifted many to her granddaughters.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters: Beva Lynn (Leon) Frei of Overton, NV; Jay (Arlene) of Logandale, NV; Rhonda (Dennis, deceased) Pulsipher of Moapa, NV; Tyler (Caroline) of Logandale, NV; Tana (Kim) Holly of Henderson, NV; 13 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Moapa Valley Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
