Belva LaRue McDonald Schrock, age 78, died Friday, February 8, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born August 28, 1934 in Las Vegas, Nevada to John Alexander and Adaline Minerva Pearson McDonald.. She married Ralph Edward Schrock on May 29, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were sealed in the Oakland Temple. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1992. Belva lived most of her early life in the Las Vegas valley. She raised her family in Petaluma and Modesto, California. In 1980 they moved to Logandale. She loved animals and enjoyed raising dogs for others. She loved living in Moapa Valley, and especially her ward family. Belva and Ralph also cared for many foster children, loving them and giving them a home. She was a tender, loving mother, sister and friend. Survivors include her son, David (Jill) Schrock of Temecula, CA; three step sons and three step daughters: Nona (Larry) Ballard of Union Gap, WA; Judy (Lonnie) Mays of Kennewick, WA; Dan (Kathleen) of Tonasaskett, WA; Danette (Jim) Payette, ID; Joe (Mary) Sun Valley, ID; Rex of Reno, NV; 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one sister, Betty Louise White of Mesa, Arizona and one brother John (Joy Lynn) McDonald of New Harmony, Utah. She was preceded by on daughter, Annie. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 a..m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
