Arthur Haskell Chatelain "Art"

Arthur Haskell Chatelain (Art), 87 years old, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning, January 4, 2009. Art was a proud resident of Mesquite for the past 18 years and a lifelong Mason. Art was born in Utah in 1921. Art leaves behind his beloved wife, Marjorie, who brought joy to his life these past 9 years. Art also leaves behind his sister, Loraine. In addition, he leaves his kids; daughter Barbara Eichhorn of California, son Mark Chatelain and his wife Cynthia of Virginia, daughter Peggy Byers and her husband John of Texas, and stepson Steve Miller and his wife Diana. The family also wishes to convey Uncle Art's deep appreciation to nephew Steve and wife Sally for all their loving and constant support these past many years. Grandpa Art will also be deeply missed by his 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. Art also leaves his "girls" - his friends and servers at the 19th Hole who always took such great care of Art and Marge. Preceding him in death was his first wife of 57 years Lois , his son Scott Chatelain and his son in law Homer Eichhorn. Art's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the kind care and compassion given to him and Marge during his stay at Highland Manor. In lieu of funeral services and flowers, Art asked that all those whose lives he touched give special attention and prayers to those suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.virginvalleymortuary.com. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Virgin Valley Mortuary.
