Ann Blanch (Yezek) Kresevich

Anna Blanche Kresevich, age 102, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home in St. George, Utah. She was born July 27, 1918 in Troy, South Dakota to Frank Joe and Francis Mary Vavricka Yezek. On May 5, 1942 she married Leroy S. Barnard in Tacoma, Washington. They had two children, he died November 4, 1976. On December 7, 1978 she married Andrew Kresevich in Tacoma. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1998.

Ann grew up in Troy. At the young age of 18, she hitchhiked to Tacoma to work as a nurse at a Naval Hospital in Seattle during WWII. After meeting Leroy, she settled into Tacoma where she raised her family, later moving to Dash Point, WA. As she slowed down, she lived in Long Beach with her daughter before finally moving to St. George, Utah for her final years. She was an energetic, friendly person and loved to socialize. She enjoyed reading, handicrafts and time with family.

Survivors include three daughters: Dianne (Gary) Kresevich of Mesquite, NV; Janice (Tom) Burgess of San Juan Capistrano, CA; Pamela (Dennis) Kelly of St. George, UT and one sister, Josephine Vogt of Redmond, Oregon.
