Allen (Al) Curtis, 78 of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away on August 1, 2019 at his home, after a long illness.
He was born on April 28, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arnold and Myrtle Amott Curtis. He married Ronnie on May 18, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After Allen graduated from South High School he joined the Armed Forces, and received an honorable discharge after 6 years of service. Allen was a hard worker and was a dedicated employee, he worked at Utah Power & Light for 35 years and retired in 1995. After retirement, in 1997, he took his beloved wife to Mesquite, Nv. where he loved the warm weather, golf and gambling.
He is survived by his wife Ronnie, Mesquite, NV; sons, Ben (Anna) Curtis, Utah; Jeff (Heather) Scott, Washington; daughters, Cristy, Arizona, and Nikki (Jeff) Kubenski, Utah; three sisters, Geri Grant, Nevada, Marge Stucki, Utah, and Mary Schembri, California; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Rick, and his son, Kelly. Graveside services will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
