Allen "Pop" Chassey

Allen Alexis Chassey, age 79, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his home in Montrose, Colorado.  He was born August 29, 1942 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Charles Reginald and Yvonne Marie Fortier Chassey.  On November 12, 1965 he married JeanAnn Galbreath in Tujunga, California.
Allen grew up in Tujunga where he graduated from Verdugo Hills High School.  While in high school, he excelled at football and baseball.  He raised his family in Southern California working as a plumber before settling in Overton, Nevada from 1983 - 2019.  He had a deep faith and lived a Christian life.  He loved auto racing, fishing and time with his family.  He was affectionately known as “Pop” and will be remembered for his sense of humor and laughter. All of us will miss the loving hugs and kisses he was famous for.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 56 years, JeanAnn; daughter, Shelly of Montrose, CO; son, Dale (Molly) Chassey of Aliso, CA; brother, Steve (Gena) of AZ; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, 5090 N. Moapa Valley Blvd., Logandale, Nevada.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
