Alexander Matthew Stephens

Alexander Matthew Stephens, age 33, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born in Visalia, California to Dennis Hugh and Lone Mathiesen Stephens on March 18, 1976.

Alex attended high school in the Utah Valley. He enjoyed working and playing on computers and loved to play and watch basketball. He worked as a banquet server at the Casa Blanca, the Grand Canyon and Crater Lake, Oregon. He had just returned from a trip to visit his mother in Saipan.

Alex is survived by his mother, Lone Stephens of Saipan; two brothers: Chris (Kumi) Shook of Japan, Mark Shook of Beaver Dam, AZ; two sisters: Lori (Dean) Field of Spokane, WA, and Lindy Stephens of Beaver Dam, AZ; a grandmother Edith Mathiesen of St. George, UT and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Dennis Stephens, grandparents Axel Mathiesen, and Hugh and Fern Stephens.
