Alex Ray Gonzalez

Alex Ray Gonzalez, age 39, died Wednesday, April, 9, 2025 in Bakersfield, California. He was born September 27, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jose Inez Gonzalez and Toni Louise Henry.

Alex lived most of his life in Moapa, Nevada. After his father moved to Bakersfield, Alex spent part of his teenage years with him. He graduated from South High in Bakersfield. He then lived between Moapa and Bakersfield. He worked as a laborer, in retail and other jobs. He was a talented artist, working with pencils, spray paints doing graffiti and even as an amateur tattoo artist. He enjoyed skateboarding, riding his BMX bike and listening to music. He will be remembered for his love of family and for his joy in serving others.

He is survived by one son, Devien of Bakersfield, CA; father, Jose (Mary) of Bakersfield; mother, Toni Henry of Moapa; brother, Diego (Sydney) of Louisville, KY and sister, Sequoia Henry of Moapa. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nikki.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Moapa Christian Church, Moapa, Nevada with a visitation from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the services. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
