Alberta Ruth (Berry) Weed

January 6, 1939 — December 5, 2019

Overton

Alberta Ruth Weed, 80, passed away on December 5, 2019 at her home in Overton, NV. Ruth was born on January 6, 1939 in Rowland Precinct, CA to Joe D. Berry and Helen Elizabeth Goodman. She married William "Bill" B. Weed Jr. in Escondido, CA on June 16, 1956.

Shortly after the birth of their daughter, Rosemarie, Ruth and Bill moved to British Columbia in Canada, and started a new life there. They found themselves in the middle of the wilderness, and they worked together to build their own home. They relied upon each other to survive and raise their family there. She was determined and strong-willed, and supported her husband in all he did. They were still building their home when they welcomed their son, Daniel. She developed her talents in gardening and needlework, and spent her free time reading. As their children grew, they decided to move closer to town to encourage their education. After twenty-one years in Canada, they moved to the U.S. and settled in Overton, NV in 1991. Ruth’s life was centered on her faith in God and Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated church member, and worshiped at the Calvary Chapel in Mesquite, NV.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Bill Weed; her children, Rosemarie (Colin) Cato of Pasadena, CA and Daniel (Cara) Weed of Colorado Springs, CO; her eight grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren, and her brother, John (Alice) Berry. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, and her two sisters.

A Memorial Service will be announce at a later date at the Calvary Chapel in Mesquite, NV. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
