Albert Gutierrez Olivas

Albert Gutierrez Olivas, age 97, passed away August 4, 2013 in Mesquite, NV. He was born to Felix Olivas and Luz Gutierrez on June 2, 1916. Albert married Jessie Rosales who preceded him in death on December 4, 2004.
Albert was very proud, and received several metals for serving his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Albert worked hard and was very good at whatever he did. He worked most of his life as an upholsterer in the furniture business and took great pride in his workmanship. He had a great love for life and enjoyed gambling at the casinos.
He is survived by his son, Urbano Ornelas (Fannie) of Mesquite, NV; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 East Old Mill Rd., in Mesquite on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 5-7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to St. Jude.
