Aaron Marshall Lyon, 48, passed away on June 14, 2024 in Logandale, NV. Aaron was born on March 15, 1976 in St. George, UT to Calvert Baxter and Linda Lee Marshall Lyon. Aaron was raised in Overton, NV where he played with his siblings and many friends, and helping at the family business, the Moapa Valley Telephone Company. Some of his fondest memories were to sit on his Grandpa Mack Lyon's lap and take apart telephones. He was diagnosed with Leukemia at a young age and has a great love for his Mother and Father for all they did to help him through treatment process. He loved sports, and was the captain of the Golf team. He served a church service mission to Little Rock, Arkansas. He has a love for the South and the people. His mission also inspired a love for BBQ and he had mastered many Smoked BBQ recipes. After his service in the South, he returned to Overton to work with the family business, and worked as an Operations Manager and later as Vice President. On November 1, 1997, he married the love of his life, Anita Evans, in the Las Vegas, NV temple. They had five children together. He loved being with his family, often going on camping trips and supporting his kids as they played sports and went on missions. He loved to tease his kids, and his many nieces and nephews. Aaron was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He always hoped to be more Christlike, to be humble and meek. He served in many different ways and callings, and sought to learn true charity. He loved discussing spiritual things. He was a spiritual warrior, never complaining of the many challenges he faced.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Anita Lyon; his children, Kyle (Nikelle) Lyon, Granddaughter Alacia, Reanna Lyon, and Kayla Lyon; his mother, Linda Lyon; his siblings, Bradley (Joyce) Lyon, Shawn (Rochelle) Lyon, Wesley (Heather) Lyon, and Ashley (Joe Aldrich) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Calvert B. Lyon; and his two children, Morgan and Matthew Lyon.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logandale, NV Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The graveside will be held at the Logandale Cemetery following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, Aaron wishes were to consider a donation to the Moapa Valley High School Athletic programs.
