Marvin Lee Jackson

March 28, 1933 — July 7, 2023

Logandale, NV

Marvin Lee Jackson passed away at home on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born on March 28, 1933 to William and Mildred (Lockwood) Jackson. He married Virginia Kennedy and spent fifty wonderful years with her and raised three amazing children. He had two older children that lived in Ohio from a previous marriage that he truly tried keeping in touch with over the years. Marv had a love for fishing and loved sharing this love with his children. He seized every opportunity when he was younger to be on his boat, which was his pride and joy, or camping and fishing with his family in Utah. He also spent lots of his time coaching his children, which he truly loved, in various sports when they were younger. He made his living as a mechanic for many years in Las Vegas. He loved tinkering with cars and solving any mechanical issue. He loved telling fish stories and stories about the old days when he worked at Cashman Cadillac and worked for Mr. Cashman. Marv was a quiet yet kind man. He was a creature of habit and did not like to stray from his routine. He loved being around his kids and grandkids. You would often see him supporting his grandkids at their sporting events wearing his sports gear to support whatever team or sport they were participating in at the time. He lost his wife several years ago and he missed her everyday she was gone. He continued to celebrate her birthday every year and eat their spaghetti dinner on their anniversary. He was a sentimental man but tried to put up a tough exterior. He loved watching NASCAR and sports and was happy when all the grandkids would come visit. Marv sent his last day at home in his room with his three children watching sports on TV while they all laughed and told stories. He truly was happy that day and was able to pass peacefully that evening. Marv would end every night by announcing that he was “calling it a night”. He never went to bed until this was done. So Marv for the last time has called it a night and he will be sorely missed. The house is a little quieter without him there, but we know he is with his love and has waited a long time to be with her again.

He is survived by his five children, Bill Jackson, son (Alanna, Brittany, Andrea, Rebecca, Lindsay, Ryan, and Sarah), Cathy Witt, daughter (Jeff, Tevin, and Trent), Joe Jackson, son (Dione, Makayla, Logan, and Jenna), Debbie Mason, daughter (Richard, Camden, and Brandi) and Eddie Jackson, son.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Logandale, NV at Joe’s home. Please reach out to us if you would like the details when we have made all arrangements. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
