Brandon Jay Thornton, 41, passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born on April 21st, 1982, in Las Vegas, NV to Clifford Franklin Thornton and Tracey Lynn Whitney.
He was raised in Las Vegas until 1991, when his family moved to Overton, NV. From the time Brandon could walk he preferred to be on two wheels. He started riding on power wheels and eventually found out it was way more fun to just ride on the back wheel. He grew up motocross racing and winning many championship races including the World Mini in 1995.
Brandon graduated from Moapa Valley High School in 2000 and began working for Las Vegas Paving in 2004, working his way up to Operator.
Brandon married his high school sweetheart Jennifer in 2005. They started a family and welcomed Bailey Renae in 2007 followed with Bubba Lane in 2009. His kids were everything to him.
Thanks to his dad, he inherited his love of boats. Brandon’s happy place was on the water.
When he wasn’t on one wheel, speeding across the water, or hanging out with his kids he was always lending a hand to anyone in need.
Brandon is survived by his wife Jennifer; his children, Bailey and Bubba; his mother, Tracey; his brother, Aaron (Stephanie) Thornton; his sister, Ashley (Gabe) Torres, and niece and nephew, Austin and Sawyer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Thornton; his cousin, Breanna Whitney; his grandparents, Ben and Verna Thornton, and George and Shirley Whitney.
